瀧原宮 Takihara-no-miya

It boasts an atmosphere probably deemed as the prototype of Naiku and its sanctuary.

This betsugu, located in Taiki Town, Watarai-gun, is a betsugu of Naiku. Together with Takihara-narabi-no-miya in the same precincts, it is dedicated to the mitama (spirit) of Amaterasuomikami. From ancient times, this betsugu has been worshiped as tonomiya (a remote branch jinja) of Naiku, as Izawa-no-miya has. Beautiful landscapes of natural woods of sacred cedar trees have been conserved around this jinja. It boasts an atmosphere probably deemed as the prototype of Naiku and its sanctuary.
